a local pool and how to adapt pool swimming to
open water. How to buy swim apparel that is comfortable
and goggles that don't leak. The do's and don'ts
of biking. How to choose a bike and what gears
work for hills and flats, how to shift gears and
not drop the chain, what clothes to wear, and
pedals-to click in or not to click in. Seminar
on running with dead legs after finishing the
bike ride. What to wear on the run. How to handle
the transition area, how to coordinate your training
around your life, and a schedule of how much to
train for each event. How to put together a team.

What is Nordic
Walking? Nordic Walking is
basically walking with poles.
In regular walking you only use
your legs to move your body forward.
In Nordic Walking you get help
from the upper body too. The
poles are used by the arms to
match each step you take.

Phone Training
For those motivated on their
own to work out. A 1 to 1½ hour session
of exercises, resist-a-band and mat exercises.
Choose either one or three 15-minute follow up
phone calls a week to check in for phone coaching
and monitoring of exercise program and upgrades.
